Programme introduction

Would you like to study in an international environment and work alongside students, faculty and partners from all over the world? Do you want to become an expert in global business and intercultural communication? Are you ambitious? Are you eager for new experiences? Then the International Business Bachelor's degree is right for you!

Within just three years, this programme will prepare you the become an international business professional who can help international businesses achieve their goals.

Programme structure

The IB three-year programme is designed for students with higher secondary school education, such as the International Baccalaureate (Dutch vwo diploma) in order to allow them to do a fast track. By the end of the three-year programme, you will have achieved the same degree as students from the four-year track, only within a shorter time period. It is an intensive programme that requires a strong commitment to self-study.

In the first year, you will learn key business functions, such as marketing, finance and operations. You will also get training in 21st-century skills, such as intercultural sensitivity, communication, information management and innovative thinking.

In your second year, you will get a great opportunity to study at one of our partner universities and to complete a work placement at an international company or organisation.

At Hanze's International Business School, you learn by doing. This, together with individual coaching, sets us apart from International Business programmes at research universities.

The programme consists of 180 European Credits (ECTS), with 60 ECTS earned each year. In order to continue with the study, students are required to finish the first year with a minimum of 48 ECTS.
