Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences won EPAS accreditation

Two undergraduate programmes, "International Business and Management Studies" and "International Business and Languages", at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) have been awarded the EPAS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This is the first time a Dutch university of applied sciences receives the pretigious global endorsement.

EPAS is an accreditation system that evaluates the quality of business and management programmes with an international perspective. It is only granted to high quality study programmes that are both academically rigorous and relevant to industry needs.

In order to obtain the accreditation, AUAS went through an intensive review of their curriculum. Additionally, the committee spent several days on campus conduting in-depth interviews with the faculty, students and staff across Quality Assurance, Registrar and Facility Services.

The EPAS accreditation is an excellent way to certify the quality of the Amsterdam International School of Business at AUAS and have direct benefits for the students in the course. It allows the university to form international exchange relationships with well-established partner universities. These partnerships provide students with the opportunity to study abroad at reputable universities and will attract more international students to the AUAS, furthering the international classroom. There is added value for the faculty as well. With more partners, the doors to faculty and staff mobility widen, offering professional development opportunities with faculty and staff from other reputable universities.

AUAS's EPAS accreditation has been granted for an initial period of three years.
