Do you consider yourself a global citizen? Would you like to come up with creative solutions to global challenges? If the answer is yes, University College Fryslan is the right choice for you! Our programme is inspired by the 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development and aims at providing students with a solid academic grounding in Human and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Information Technology.

The programme's distinctive features are a small scale and intensive learning environment, interdisciplinary education with a strong global-local connection. We are a residential University College with a strong international focus. University College Fryslan is located in the beautiful city of Leeuwarden, 30 minutes away by train from Groningen.

You are ambitious and interested in global issues. You are socially engaged, open-minded and determined. In order to study at UCF, you need to be internationally-minded, intellectually curious and willing to take on challenges.

Why study Global Responsibility and Leadership with the University of Groningen?

Our programme is based on UN Sustainable Development Goals: global challenges - local solutions.

You will directly apply knowledge and skills through a Living Lab project, which is research in collaboration with local partners.

From the second year, you will specialise in one of the following majors: Responsible Planet, Responsible Governance or Responsible Humanity.

After graduating with a BSc in Global Responsibility and Leadership, you can enter a wide variety of Master's programmes both in the Netherlands and abroad.

How to apply

The minimum entry requirements for this programme are three A Levels to include Maths.
