Course Description:

Constructive water management is rapidly becoming one of the world’s most pressing topics. The main water problems we have to deal with in society are pollution, flooding and shortages.

On an international level, there are not enough water managers to cope with these problems. The water management programme at HZ is oriented towards a broad perspective of water. It is unique in that it combines knowledge of water ecology with water techniques (hydraulics).

You learn the basics of the aquatic environment, acquire the skills to examine the many characteristics of water, and gradually familiarize yourself with the technology that is applied in research and in controlling water systems.

HZ is located on the Dutch coast, which is perfectly suited for a study of Water Management.
