Course Description

Logical thinking, sharp analysis and intensely pure reasoning. These are the characteristics of the true mathematician. Nijmegen mathematicians are master thinkers of world renown. Their power to think and calculate has enabled them to provide solutions to innumerable questions in science and in everyday life. Mathematics can ensure more efficient logistics, better computer information systems and a deeper understanding of natural phenomena. Our Master’s programme offers you a thorough, theoretical education while maintaining a clear perspective on concrete applications.

Our Master’s study is closely related to the research being carried out in the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP). Nijmegen mathematicians are very open-minded and have established many types of different relationships with other disciplines and research institutes. This has resulted in stimulating research and interesting study choices.
